Sarah the Story-teller.

Just spent my "quiet time" telling Elijah and Selah about the throne room of Rev. 4. They sat on the floor and asked questions. Their favorite is the monsters with 6 wings and eyes all over their bodies saying "holy holy holy! Lord God Almighty! Who was and is and is to come!" and their eyes got big as i said that our prayers are brought to God like a bowl of smoke and that all of heaven stops for it. Elijah, who wants to be a firefighter, listened with big brown eyes as i told him that Jesus's hair is as white as snow and His eyes are like fire and His voice sounds like a waterfall. "its all in the Bible!" i said. "is He bigger than the trees?!" he asked. "oh yes!" i said. "bigger than the house?!" "MUCH bigger!" i said.

made me wonder... When we ask our pointed questions to God, do we sound like children who can't comprehend how BIG God is - and so we ask in our own way, "bigger than the trees? bigger than the house?!" all of a sudden, im so glad He is our delighted Father. :)
